Urban Gamez

One maker, one game, and a city that really exists.

Urban Gamez is the name these games are published under. The first one is called Amsterdam Underground, and it is set on the real map of Amsterdam inside the ring road.

Screenshot from the game: the Prinsengracht seen from above, with two houseboats, brick quays and the red roofs of the Jordaan. The caption on the image reads: Not a canal. The Prinsengracht.
The Prinsengracht runs diagonally across the frame, with two houseboats in it, brick quays on both sides and a side canal bottom left.

In Amsterdam Underground you can look up your own street and drive down it.

Not a city that looks like Amsterdam. Amsterdam itself, inside the ring road, traced off the map: the buildings, the canals, the bridges and the tram tracks all sit where they really sit.

The game is in English, and in Dutch. Menus, jobs, shops and the on-screen buttons are English, and they switch to Dutch if your phone is set to Dutch. The street names stay Dutch either way: they are the real ones.

What Urban Gamez is, and what it is not

No studio, no team, no investor. One maker who measured a city and built a game around it, and who does all of it: the map, the driving, the drawings, the words and this page.

This is the first game. There is no second one yet. If there is, it will be here.

This site asks nothing of you

There is no cookie banner on this site, and that is not an oversight: there are no cookies. Nothing is loaded from anywhere else either — no font from a third party, no analytics, no social buttons. Your browser talks to this one server and to nobody else.

That is the same choice as in the game itself. This version of the game has no ads and runs entirely offline. The privacy page explains exactly how that works.
